THIN COMPUTING
"Thin Computing" is a technology based in client-server arquitectures.
Thin clients are connected to a server computer, which provides the CPU cycles, memory, programs and applications to the thin clients.

The thin clients are built in a LCD monitor (with a small processor) or a small PC box, a keyboard and a mouse.
Thought it is a technology developed in the 70's, it is now when is possible to be implemented in an effectice and efficient way, thanks to the network speed reached.
These are some of the main benefits in comparation with the traditional computer arquitectures:
| Dicreases | the administration and maintenance cost. the equipment, hardware and software cost. the energy and power consuption. the noise and heat emmisions. |
| Increases | the computers and information security. the cost effectiveness and the efficiency of the computer resourses. the scalability of the computer and network systems. the speed and easiness of actualitation. |
